Newspapers in Education! Newspapers in Education (NIE) is an International program that promotes and increases basic skills of students by using the newspaper as a teaching tool. For years the Auburn Journal has provided newspapers to teachers that request them at NO CHARGE to the schools! This program is maintained through community sponsorships by area businesses and individuals. NIE is far more than just providing newspapers.
