Grote is holding a must-have purchase of basil which she grows and uses for pesto pasta sauce. Dennis Marrell eyes a tomato plant for his garden. Josh Beasley is a second-generation grower of vegetable plants and a vendor who supplies Lowe?s in Lincoln with new plants. Beasley of Bonnie Plants is in the Lincoln store five times a week and takes a few minutes to explain information about the plants to a customer. Beautiful Calla lillies await someone's garden. Rose Healy, of Yuba City helps her friend, Margaret Dames of Lincoln, make plant selections for her yard. The women look over a selection of French marigolds. Longtime resident David Feathers looks to buy a lime tree for his yard at Lowe?s. Feathers owned a tree work business in Lincoln for 40 years at the corner of Highway 65 and 5th streets. ?I have a few fruit trees in the yard, something to keep busy with,? Feathers said.
