Wednesday Sep 02 2009 comments Burned cat escapes 49 Fire By: Auburn Journal photography by Ben Furtado -A +A A female tabby escaped the 49 Fire with burned ears, face and paws and has yet to be reunited with her owner. Dr. Erin Hatcher of the Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic examines the eyes of a female tabby that got burned during the 49 Fire. Paws of the tabby are red and tender and gets new bandages through out the day. Dr. Julie Wetherell, left and Devon Miracle tend to the burned tabby by applying burn cream to her paws and putting on new bandages. Dr. Erin Hatcher keeps a close eye on the burned female tabby. Burn cream is applied to the bottom of the tabby's paws to help the healing process. Scorched paws of the tabby require daily care at the Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic. Still with out her owner, this tabby is overcoming dramatic burns on it's face and feet at the Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic. Bandages are wrapped on all four feet of this burned tabby.
