Saint Joseph’s Knights of Columbus holds annual Hawaiian Luau July 28
The Lincoln Knights of Columbus will hold its 10th annual Hawaiian Luau on July 28.
The luau is one of four major annual fundraisers hosted by the Lincoln Knights of Columbus.
The luau, under the leadership of Brother Gary Rivera and his team, includes Pacific Islands food, drink and dance. The event is at the McBean Park Pavilion at 65 McBean Park Drive.
Herb Pickell provides a buffet-style luau dinner of Kalua pork, teriyaki chicken, aloha salmon, sweet and sour meatballs, tropical shrimp, Lumpia egg roll, Oriental salad, island fried rice and tropical mixed fruit.
The Hula Pono dancers will perform Hula and Polynesian dances. Music will be provided by Uncle Pete’s Ship Wreck Crew.
Event proceeds are given to high school scholarships, youth sports sponsorships, youth organizations, Lincoln High School Special Ed, Ride to Walk, St. Joseph programs and other charitable organizations.
