For those athletes who hate to get dirty, California High School Rodeo may not be the sport of choice. However, the cowboys and cowgirls of District 3 paid the mud no mind at last weekend’s rodeo.

“It was like a pig wallow outside the arena due to the recent rain,” one photographer was prompted to say.

Although Saturday’s rodeo was cancelled, the conditions within the arena on Sunday were dry enough to continue.

It was the final rodeo for the juniors, except for state (Plymouth, May 12-15) and nationals (Lebanon, Tenn., June 19-25). The junior results were not yet posted the date of this publication.
