Drive-up, Hitch-up, or Giddy-up!
Whatever your preferred method of travel, be sure to save the date (Aug. 9 & 10) and follow the Placer County Museums trail from Roseville to Tahoe. 18 participating museums in the county will be open free of charge. Special events will be hosted by each site on the trail.
Two bus tours departing daily from Auburn at 9:30 are planned. Trail Travelers will visit four museums each day. The Roseville Bound! trip is on Saturday, August 9th and costs $3.00. The tour will include stops at the Griffith Quarry Museum, Rocklin History Museum, the Maidu Interpretive Center, and the Roseville Historical Society Carnegie Museum. This tour will return to Auburn at 2:30.
The Sunday, August 10th tour is Boreal Bound! and the cost is $10.00. The tour will include stops at the Colfax Area Heritage Museum, Golden Drift Museum, the Big Bend Visitor Center, and the Western SkiSport Museum returning to Auburn at 5:00.
Trail Travelers can bring a sack lunch or reserve a boxed lunch provided by Courthouse Coffee.
