February’s open mike was fun
Thank you for your informative article about Open Mike with a long “i” for microphone in February (A15, Feb. 18 News Messenger). It was a “fun” meeting. I learned three new terms about poetry: punch line poems, prosetry meaning prose and poetry combined, and Fabianisms, poems in the style of (Lincoln resident) Jack Fabian. Of course, the barbershop quartet and the valentine theme made it even more special. I’m looking forward to this Sunday, March 14, in the Twelve Bridges Willow Room from 3 to 5 p.m. for another opportunity to learn and share with Lincoln’s poets. Thank you. Hope to see you there.
