Lincoln boys place 12th at first track and field meet

Lincoln High’s track and field team opened its season Saturday at the C.A.L. Invitational.

Lincoln’s varsity boys placed 12th among 26 teams as J.J. Castillo (discus, first place, 156-feet, six-inches), Mark Maslov (pole vault, third, 12 feet) and Dickson Avecilla (shot put, fifth, 41-4) each medaled for the Zebras.

Lincoln sophomore Stephen Hay medaled in the frosh/soph division (110-meter hurdles, third, 18.38 seconds).

“Overall the team did very well in their first meet of the season,” said Lincoln first-year head coach Eric Williams.
