Updates from Woodcreek vs. Oakmont at Arco Arena
SJS D-II final
Courtside at Arco Arena for the Division II title game between Oakmont and Woodcreek. Refresh often as I will be providing updates all game long to keep those unable to attend on top of the action.
6:22 final update Check back later tonight for a full game story. Woodcreek section champs 45-44 over Oakmont. Nik Milani 16 points to lead the way. Alex Ford 15 for Oakmont.
6:20 update Tony Gill three at buzzer bounces away. Woodcreek wins 45-44 in a classic title game battle.
6:15 p.m. update Ryan Sondhi makes one of two at the stripe. Gill rebound for Oakmont. Timeout Oakmont 14 seconds left, 45-43 Woodcreek.
6:13 p.m. update Woodcreek up 44-43 with 28 seconds left. Timberwolves have the ball coming out of the timeout.
6:07 p.m. update Two straight threes by Nik Milani pull Woodcreek even at 39-39 with 3:40 left in the game.
6 p.m. update End of three and a great one is developing. The defenses have been outstanding and Oakmont has a 31-26 advantage after three. Alex Ford has 11 points for Oakmont. Mike Kurtz and Nik Stathopoulos have eight for Woodcreek.
5:45 p.m. update Big second half start by Oakmont's Alex Ford. Vikings lead 25-13 with 5:25 to play in third.
5:30 update Halftime. Tenacious defensive battle at both ends. Strong defensive rebounding. Woodcreek's Kurtz with five first half blocks. Oakmont's J.T. Adenrele with three of his own.
Woodcreek made a strong run from down 16-3 to pull within five at 16-11, but Fred Mobley took the ball coast-to-coast for a lay-up to beat the horn.
Oakmont leads a low-scoring game so far 18-11 at intermission.
Adenrele leads Oakmont with six points, six rebounds. Gill has four points, five boards. Mobley and Alex Ford each have four points as well.
Mike Kurtz has six points and six boards for the Timberwolves and Nik Stathopoulos has four points.

5:22 update 14-3 Oakmont, 4:45 left before halftime
5:15 p.m. update Slow offensive start for Woodcreek against tough defense. Vikings open 10-0, lead 12-2 after first quarter.
