The Soroptimist International of Lincoln have extended the deadline for their Women's Opportunity Award application due date, the new deadline is Thursday, Dec. 17 by noon.

The application and two reference forms need to be returned to Jean Lund at 553 F Street in Lincoln.

About $1 million is disbursed annually through the Women's Opportunity Awards program at various levels of the organization to help women reclaim their dreams of a better life for themselves and their families. Since the Women's Opportunity Awards program began in 1972, about $15 million has been granted to more then 22,500 women.
