Lincoln High's varsity coed tennis team beat Mesa Verde 8-1 after falling at Placer 8-1 last week. The Zebras, 3-3 in Pioneer Valley League matches, played El Dorado Tuesday and will play at Whitney at 3:30 p.m. today. The victory over visiting Mesa Verde marked the end of the first half of the league season. Lincoln won every match but No. 2 girls doubles. Lincoln's Jeremy Orteza and Greg Hill picked up victories in singles for the boys while Jessica Ho and Sara Bietz did the same for the girls. The Hillmen are the defending Sac-Joaquin Section champions and they played like it against the Zebras. Lincoln's Ethan Theodore and Milja Djurin teamed up for a win at mixed doubles and remained unbeaten on the season.
