A woman is in critical condition after sustaining several stab wounds in her Joiner Parkway apartment early Sunday morning. At 1 a.m. on Sunday, Lincoln police officers were dispatched to 455 Joiner Parkway to a call that a female had been stabbed multiple times, according to Lincoln Police Sgt. Terry Kennedy. Arriving at the scene, officers found an adult female inside her apartment with several life-threatening stab wounds, Kennedy said. The woman was transported to Sutter Roseville Hospital, where she remains in critical condition as of Monday morning, according to Kennedy. The reason for the stabbing is not known at this time, according to Lincoln Police Chief Paul Shelgren. “We don’t know what led up to the stabbing, and that we are not going to know until we can do a detailed interview with the victim,” Shelgren said. “We believe there’s a possibility it is domestic violence-related.” Police have not apprehended anyone in connection with the stabbing, according to Shelgren. Officers are following up on this investigation with limited leads, Kennedy said, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Lincoln Police Department at 645-4040.
