With numerous wins at the 2012 California State Fair, Wise Villa Winery continues to add to its list of accolades. It took home 13 medals at the prestigious wine competition. The winery owner and winemaker Dr. Grover Lee glowed with excitement as associate winemaker Kevin Luther rattled off the awards: three gold medals, six silver medals and four bronze medals. Add to this their recently awarded seven medals at the 2012 Orange County Fair. ?I can?t say I?m shocked but I?m absolutely excited and grateful that the judges were able to recognize the incredible quality of our wines,??Lee said. We put a lot of hard work and passion, from the vineyard to the bottle, into these wines and I feel that it shows,? said Lee. ?It?s funny to think how everyone told me that you couldn?t make great wine here in Placer County. But here we are, with award-winning wines made from grapes grown on our estate vineyards here in Lincoln.? Wise Villa won gold medals at the 2012 State Fair for their 2010 Petite Sirah, 2010 Touriga Nacional, and 2011 Torrontes, along with a gold medal at the 2012 Orange County Fair for their 2011 Pinot Noir ?Blanc De Noir.?
