The California Pacific Conference bestowed the 2013 CalPac Conference All-Sports Award to William Jessup University and its athletic department. It was the first time the school has received such an honor.

With a tremendous showing in the conference this season, the Warriors earned 38 points to garner the award. William Jessup was first in the conference in mens cross country, mens basketball (regular season) and co-champions in softball.

The womens soccer program clinched the league’s North Division but missed the conference title on penalty kicks during the tournament championship.

The womens basketball and cross country squads were also runners-up in conference play.

Coming in second with 35 points was Menlo College and Simpson University was third with 33.

William Jessup is looking for a head coach for mens basketball following the resignation of former head coach Aaron Muhic.

Interim head coach Jeff Bussell, who led the Warriors to a regular-season conference championship decided not to apply for the post. Bussell is an assistant coach for the Warriors.

As members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, the school’s search is nationwide. The university recently opened its 1,100 seat Warrior Arena on campus and is dedicated to maintaining a quality basketball program.
