William Jessup University’s womens head soccer coach Jamie Howard will do double duty as an assistant coach with the California Storm of the Women’s Professional Soccer League this spring. She will return in the fall to coach the Warriors.

The two-time California Pacific Conference Coach of the Year will join the Storm in May under head coach Jerry Zanelli. The Storm was the top team in the Pacific North Champions region.

"This is a great opportunity to work with high caliber athletes and will provide WJU women's soccer players networking into the WPSL league," said Howard. "I'm very excited to assist Jerry Zanelli and grow as a coach with fresh new ideas for the future. I am blessed to be joining the Storm organization."

The Storm will become a WPSL Elite team in 2013 and move up to a higher level. They will also be holding tryouts this spring.

Howard’s Warriors were 13-3-3 this year and set a new school record. Howard has coached 34 all-conference players and has compiled a 56-24-9 record over the last five years.
