Why are there still trucks on Lincoln’s main street?

I was at the ribbon-cutting ceremony (Friday) and to the bike ride along the new Lincoln Bypass today. I hear a lot about how the new bypass will relieve Lincoln of gridlock through town. These speeches raised another question. What is going to be done about the log trucks that rumble through town? After the day’s event, we sat at the window seat at Old Town Pizza for lunch. Before we left, I counted nine log trucks that went by the window. There were two “sets” (one behind another) that went by. So we are going to have less car/truck traffic and a parade of log trucks? What’s the plan? Alan Hart, Lincoln
