I’m thoughtful, deliberate and family-oriented. What are some of your hobbies? “I play chess. I’ve played since I was about 5. My dad taught me how to play.” What do you like best about being a manager at Mimi’s Café? “The people. Mimi’s patrons are very friendly. I can just go out, walk around and talk to people. They’re good-natured. I think the culture of Mimi’s attracts the right employees, and they’re people the customers like.” What is your favorite menu item? “The pasta jambalaya. It’s penne pasta, shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage and peppers in a Creole sauce.” How did you get started in the restaurant industry? “My best friend’s family owned a string of restaurants in Maine when I was in high school, and I worked in them. It’s familiar to me.” What is something someone would be surprised to know about you? “I spent quite a few years doing musical theater. Also, I did some extra roles in movies. I was in ‘Van Wilder’ and ‘How High.’ ” What do you like best about Lincoln? “I think it’s an interesting mix of old and new.” What is it you like about family life? “Smiles. The routine doesn’t seem like a routine. I can’t imagine them not being there. I don’t want my kids to grow up. Sometimes Carter will just be crawling along the floor and then he’ll sit up, and he’ll just look so perfect, and I never want him to change.”
