Name: Domine' Suchomel Age: 43 Occupation: Fitness trainer and nutrition consultant Residence: Lincoln Family: parents Andrea and Lynn; brothers Adam, Ian, Noah, Nathan and Abram; sister Eryn; children Summer, 13, Amber, 10 and Ellie, 8; and boyfriend Bill Zmrzel. How long have you been in the fitness industry? I've been in the industry for 26 years. How did you get involved in fitness training? I have always been an athlete. When I was 16 years old, I took a good look at the females in my family, who were all overweight, and decided not to continue that cycle. I enjoy being fit. I felt passionate about getting healthy and learning how to care for myself and my first step in the process was becoming a vegetarian and educating myself on health and fitness. I maintain that lifestyle today. What do you like best about training and consulting? I find it extremely rewarding to educate others so they too can become healthy and fit, lose weight and reach their goals. People need to know that our overall health consists of many factors “ exercise, nutrition, a positive frame of mind and a good night's sleep. How would you describe yourself? I am energetic, happy and healthy, athletic and a true romantic. When are you happiest? I am definitely most happy when I am doing anything athletic in the great outdoors. What's something you've always wanted to accomplish? Write a book. I am working on a health and fitness book that will educate the public. Something else I would really love to do is visit the Nike Institute and work with the research department on fitness and biomechanics of the body. What do you like best about Lincoln? I love how all the sports and athletic activities are all in close proximity to home. For instance “ golf, access to mountain biking, snow ski, wakeboard, tennis, volleyball and softball. What words do you live by? The most important thing is the life in your years, not the years in your life.
