Warriors place four on All Conference selections

Rocklin’s Wilson gets honorable mention

The William Jessup University mens basketball team placed four players on the California Pacific Conference All Conference team. The Warriors were third in the CalPac with a 6-6 record. Named to the first team was senior Marqus Crawford. It was his second time being selected first team and first playing for William Jessup. The San Jose native led the Warriors in scoring, rebounding and steals. He averaged 14.3 points, six rebounds, and his total of 57 steals was 27th in the country for NAIA Division II mens basketball. His season high for scoring was 23, 15 for rebounding, and he had seven assists against Menlo College. Making the second team was Anthony Anderson. The Roseville product averaged 12.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and this season shot nearly 40 percent from three-point range. His 119 treys rank him second in the school’s record book, as does his 83.5-percent shooting from the free-throw line. His 41.2 percent three-point shooting places him third all time for the Warriors. Anderson high point pinnacle was 24 against Southern Oregon University. Bramow played two years for William Jessup averaging 9.5 points and 5.3 rebounds. His high for the season was 17 points against Oregon Tech. Bramow is also from Roseville. Wilson, the Warriors’ only underclassmen selected, has played all three years at WJU. The former Rocklin sharpshooter knocked down better than 54 percent from the floor averaging 10.1 points a game. His high of 22 points came against UC Santa Cruz. Wilson also averaged 3.5 boards per game. “This was another exciting season in the Cal Pac, made so by student-athletes of this caliber,” said conference commissioner Don Ott, “My congratulations to the individuals and the institutions they represent." CalPac player of the year was Tim Tatum of Menlo College; coach of the year honors went to CSU Maritime’s Bryan Rooney.
