Wardrobe owner, customers help in successful ‘Closets for a Cure’ drive

-A +A
I manage the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop in Roseville. During the month of September, we partnered with a local Lincoln boutique, Wardrobe, on a donation drive called “Closets for a Cure.” The owner of Wardrobe, Kathy Dorsey, agreed to advertise our drive to her wonderful customers and encourage them to “clean out their closets” and bring in gently-used clothing, accessories and jewelry to her shop in downtown Lincoln at 517 G St. The response was overwhelming and it was the most successful donation drive that we have ever experienced! The Wardrobe customers were so generous with their donations that they filled up a SUV three times with beautiful clothing, shoes, purses and accessories. We are so blessed to have these wonderful “angels” to help us with our mission of fighting cancer. I also want to thank Kathy Dorsey for her support and generosity in partnering with us on this very successful donation drive. So please post this wonderful “happy” story in your newspaper to let everyone who supported our donation drive know that they really made a difference and can feel very good that helped us to kick cancer’s butt.
