Trap shoot fundraiser to build shelters
HomeAid Sacramento will host its 10th annual Trap Shoot at Coon Creek Trap and Skeet in Lincoln Friday to help raise funds to build shelters for the temporarily homeless.
HomeAid is a nonprofit organization that constructs and renovates multi-unit transitional housing for families and individuals needing temporary lodging. It is the designated charity of the North State Building Industry Association.
The day begins at 7 a.m. with registration, breakfast and practice until 8. After the opening ceremony, the shooting competition begins at 8:30 and concludes at 2 p.m. Other activities, games and auctions also take place for those not competing.
Dickey’s BBQ serves lunch; the silent auction and raffle ticket sales close at 3 p.m. and the closing ceremonies take place from 3-5.
Silent-auction items include golfing, wine tasting, vacation condo, skateboards, pottery and an iPad. Shotguns of varying gauges and manufacturers will be included in the raffle.
