School has ended this year, hats were thrown and lives are permanently changing. As we say goodbye to some of our Zebra family, see them leave with tears in their eyes and smiles on their faces, we know our lives too are changed just by being able to have the wonderful class of 2010 in our Zebra family for the four years they were with us. With a new year comes new people, such as next year’s freshmen, who will soon be initiated and become part of our tight-knit Zebra family. This family will also include our new 2010-2011 Lincoln FFA Chapter officer team, including Trevor Petersen, Tyler Newberry, Shelby Workman, Martina De La Rosa, Alyssa Ruiz, Kayla Newberry, Emily Borsh, Alyssa Alger, Candice Dudley and Shannon Dudley. Congratulations to these students for the hard work and dedication it took to receive this high honor in the FFA. Also, congratulations to all of the other scholarship and award winners at our FFA banquet, which was recently held. Thank you to every one who made this event possible and to every one in the community and high school who attended and showed their support. We are also saying goodbye to some of our graduating officers and fellow FFA members from this year and would like to extend a special thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the FFA throughout your Lincoln High School career. As a personal message to the graduating seniors, I would like to say, “Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own sunshine.” -Anthony J. D’Angelo. Oh, and never forget, “Once a Zebra, always a Zebra.” Good luck. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Ron Schuler and Co. Bank for their generous donation to the Lincoln FFA chapter. The officer team had a wonderful lunch with you and we appreciate your assistance and dedication to the FFA as well as the welfare of agriculture in our area. You may never know how many lives will be touched through agriculture because of your support. Thank you again! Alyssa Alger was the 2009-2010 FFA reporter.
