A grassroots National Tea Party Day/Tax Protest about the current national bailout and economic crisis is planned April 15 in cities across the country. Lincoln’s event, organized by resident Claire Magid, will be from noon to 2 p.m. outdoors at McBean Park. “It’s a way for the community to voice their frustration and dismay over the current bailouts and state tax increases. We’re giving the community an opportunity to vent. We’re all mad,” Magid said. “Lincoln is one of 43 cities in the state of California participating in this event, and there are hundreds of cities elsewhere in the country participating. This will be a history-making event.” For more information or to volunteer to help, e-mail Magid at
