LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL Walk-in registration for Lincoln Little Baseball is 1:30-5 p.m., Saturday, Community Center, 2010 First St., Lincoln Online registration is scheduled to remain open through Jan. 21. Online registration can be accessed by going to the Lincoln Little League website: lincolnllbaseball.org. RODEO District 3, California High School Rodeo, competition will resume this Saturday, Lincoln Rodeo Grounds. It will be the fifth of nine rodeos remaining in the 2011-2012 season. Cowboys and cowgirls from around the surrounding eight-county area come together each month to compete for scholarship money in a variety of events. The rodeos are free of charge to spectators. The events are gender and age related for varsity girls and boys, and junior varsity girls and boys. On tap will be barrel racing, pole bending, cutting, bareback and saddle bronc riding, as well as bull riding. ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS The National College Scouting Association will give a presentation offering local student athletes some guidelines on applying for athletic scholarships. The free seminar is Jan. 23, Center High School, 3111 Center Court Lane, Antelope. The guest speaker will be former NFL player Julian Jenkins of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. OUTDOORS EXPO The International Sportsmen’s Exposition will take place at Cal Expo, Sacramento, Jan. 19-22. Featured will be all the equipment today’s outdoors enthusiast could need or want. There will also be demonstrations and fun for the kids. Added this year is the Great Elk Tour, and turkey calling sponsored by the National Wild Turkey Foundation. Admission is $15 for adults, free for active military and those 15 and under. Parking is $10. Tickets can be purchased online: sportsexpos.com.
