SpecTek announces new optometrist in town

SpecTek Eyewear and Optometry has announced that Dr. Melody O. Quenzer has moved her optometric practice from Lake Tahoe to Lincoln in a return to the Sacramento area after a 12-year absence. Quenzer is welcoming new patients to the neighborhood eye care office, providing comprehensive family eye exams, monitoring and treating glaucoma, diabetic eye diseases, macular degeneration and dry eyes. Quenzer received her bachelor of science in biology from CSU Sacramento and her doctorate from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Mass. Her experience includes extensive medical emergency eye care on staff at Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe, comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, keratoconus and astigmatism prescriptions, as well as co-management of pre and post-operative care with cataract, retina and LASIK/ PRK surgeons and systemic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes. Quenzer accepts Medicare assignments and is a VSP Network provider. She also is available to treat eyecare emergencies at all times. SpecTek is at 745 Highway 65, Suite 70, next to Raley's.
