A Sparkling Fourth of July Thank You

-A +A
The 2010 Independence Day Parade is now a memory, but it’s a great memory. Everyone who worked on the parade did a fabulous job. Lincoln Chamber CEO Bob Romness and Terri Reeves, chamber marketing, lived and breathed the parade for weeks. Judy Bennett, coordinated the effort of selecting the judges and found a wonderful emcee, Tina Macuha, from “Good Day, Sacramento”, Channel 31. The volunteers who helped with the staging of the entries did an amazing job. Thank you to Beverly Roberts, Dorothy Walsh, Kim Johnston, Clark Osterhoust, Tina Ginnetti, Bryan and Joanne Keeter, Desiree and David Friedman, Linda Mohr and Pieter Zack, Bill Becker, John Mesbah, Anna Palacio and Austin Gudgel. A special thank you to George Alves, who puts up with me this time every year while I spend so much time putting the pieces of the parade together. Lincoln’s Facility Services and Police Department deserve a big thanks as well for all their efforts in helping keep the parade safe. This is truly a team effort and this year’s team was the best!! See you next year. Ruth Alves Parade Coordinator, Lincoln
