The seventh annual Lincoln Showcase was held Saturday night in Beermann Plaza, and it was well attended, with between 400 and 500 visitors showing up for samples of food, beer and wine, and to listen to the tunes of bands Dudley and the Doo-Rights and Mercy Me! Band. “I thought it was a success,” said Bobbi Park, CEO of the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce. “The people I talked to had a really good time. It gave them just a time to relax and enjoy each other’s company.” Local businesses, as well as enterprises from the surrounding communities came to showcase their wares. Margaritas, burritos, salad, pork, scones and Italian ice cream were just a few of the samples offered. As darkness fell, Mercy Me! Band played in front of Police Headquarters and attendees danced in front of the stage, sat on the fountain to listen or hit the tables for a last round of food and drink.
