Sharp helps Redlands U lead conference in softball

Lincoln grad makes All League

Former Lincoln High softball standout Nikoli Sharp has kept her career in high gear now playing for Redlands University in Southern California.

A sophomore, Sharp was voted to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic All-Conference first team. She is also ranked 10th nationally as most difficult to strike out in NCAA Division III.

Redlands Bulldogs also received an at-large bid to the 2013 Division III Championships in Tyler, Texas May 10-13.

In 2011, her senior year at Lincoln High, she had a .448 batting average hitting four home runs and 16 extra-base hits. As a pitcher, she had a 1.24 earned run average and 52 strikeouts on her way to 10 wins for the Fighting Zebras.

That year, Lincoln made it to the quarterfinals of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Playoffs before losing 5-4 to Pioneer.
