Senior Nutrition program marks anniversary

The Senior Café has been serving senior citizens meals for 32 years in Lincoln. There will be a party held for this anniversary on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Senior Café located at 472 E St. in the Civic Center Building. There will be music provided by the Gene Thorpe Band, who have played for the senior groups for 12 years. The Lincoln Hills County Line Dancers will provide some more entertainment, along with door prizes and a refreshment table. All seniors 90 and older will be honored. The nutrition site opens at 10 a.m., the entertainment will start at 10:30 a.m. and luncheon is served at noon. Reservations for the lunch must be made by 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 by calling Lee Olsen at 645-1419 or the Auburn Office at (530) 888-8103. The suggested donation is $3 for adults 60 years and older; for all others there is a mandatory charge of $5 unless accompanied by their senior spouse or relative.
