Lincoln Rotary Club members were introduced to their Rotary Youth Exchange student last Thursday. Viivi Pelanteri, 17, comes to Lincoln from Lapua, Finland. She is the youngest of three children and will be studying at Lincoln High School this year. She is part of the international exchange program. While here, Viiva will stay with three host families and she will be encouraged by Lincoln Rotarians to join them in various activities, trips and outings to learn about the surrounding area. Lincoln Rotary has a membership of more than 50 members and meets once a week at noon on Thursday at the Women’s Club. For more information about Lincoln Rotary, go online to rotary.lincal.com or visit the weekly meeting at noon Thursdays in the Women’s Club on the corner of 5th and E Streets. Claire Luke is a Rotary member.
