Roseville Midgets pound Grant, move to 6-0

Woodcreek Pee Wees remain unbeaten

Roseville’s Midget Junior Tigers ran their record to 6-0 with a 60-22 blowout of Grant on Saturday.

The Junior Tigers had 411 total yards, including 356 yards rushing and seven touchdowns by Noa Nofo. His scoring runs included long sprints of 60, 45 and 51 yards.

Noel Lopez had two fumble recoveries for Roseville.

Junior Pee Wees

Roseville 14, Grant 12 — Carson Blatnick’s two-point conversion kick made the difference as the Junior Tigers (4-1) won their third in a row and knocked off the previously unbeaten Junior Pacers (4-1).

Parker Henry had his third consecutive game with more than 120 yards rushing and scored two touchdowns.

Alex Rodriguez had four tackles for negative yardage and five total, and Vince Jordan’s fumble recovery led to Roseville’s second score.

Woodcreek 32, Oakmont 6 — The Junior Timberwolves (2-2) used a balanced offense to keep the Junior Vikings winless at 0-4.

Kaleb Nelson had a 63-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a 27-yard scoring run. Quarterback Daniel Susac was 4 for 4 passing on a five-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that ended with an 11-yard scoring toss to Matt Wilford. Susac also threw a 33-yard touchdown strike to Brock Thawley.

Nate Riffie caught a 25-yard pass that set up his five-yard touchdown run up the middle.

Woodcreek’s defense was led by Mack Vinsonhaler, who returned an interception 60 yards to the 1-yard line. Thawley also had an interception, Riffie blocked a punt, and Chris Cornell had a fumble recovery. Cornell, Ethan Astor, Dylan Shannon and Justin Behr each had five tackles.

Pee Wees

Woodcreek 12, Oakmont 6 — Quarterback Carson March scored on a 49-yard keeper on Woodcreek’s first play, and Isaiah Ajayi scored on a 14-yard run late in the fourth quarter as the Timberwolves (4-0) topped the Vikings (1-3) to remain unbeaten.

Woodcreek’s defense was strong throughout. Teague Dilbeck had 14 total tackles, including eight solo, and two fumble recoveries. Ajayi and Ethan Mulhern each had eight tackles, Kody Tagert had two sacks, and C.J. German had six tackles and an interception.

Oakmont had two interceptions and held Woodcreek to 108 total yards.

Mighty Mites

Woodcreek 32, Oakmont 0 — Junior Kynbwa carried 11 times for 175 yards and three touchdowns, including a 60-yarder, to lift the Junior Timberwolves (2-2) over the Vikings. Camryn Bracha had 86 yards in five carries and scored on a 60-yard run. Braden Grover had 93 yards and a touchdown in 10 carries.

Cameron Brannen had five tackles and two sacks for the Timberwolves, and Danny Myles had a team-high eight tackles and a sack. Two of Braden Grover’s five tackles were for a loss, and Carsen Keim and Tyler Randall each made five tackles and combined for three sacks.
