Motorists can expect a full highway closure from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through May 10 on Interstate 80 at Sierra College Blvd. A detour, using the off-ramp and the adjacent on-ramp, will be available. A contractor is scheduled to remove falsework. The work is part of a $25 million project by Caltrans, Placer County, the City of Rocklin and the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency to rebuild and modernize the I-80 interchange at Sierra College Boulevard. The project will upgrade the overcrossing to five lanes, add bike lanes and sidewalks, and increase vertical clearance. Completion is expected in 2008.
