Road tournaments not kind to the Warriors

Mens, womens basketball drop two games each

The William Jessup University mens basketball team dropped both games last weekend at the Midland Empire Insurance Classic hosted by Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls, Ore. The Warriors fell to No. 4 Oregon Tech, 87-67, in the first game. Senior Anthony Anderson led the Warriors with 19 points, including shooting 3-5 from behind the 3-point arc. Southern Oregon University defeated the Warriors, 70-58, the following night. Senior Marqus Crawford led the Warriors with 19 points and nine rebounds. William Jessup will travel the Oakland for the Holy Names Thanksgiving Classic, hosted by Holy Names University. The Warriors open with College of Idaho, Friday, 2 p.m. The Warriors will play CSU-San Marcos at 2 p.m., Saturday. The William Jessup womens basketball team fell to Fresno Pacific University, 80-65. Senior Alyssa Wright led the Lady Warriors with 19 points. The Lady Warriors dropped both games at the Midland Empire Insurance Classic in Klamath Falls, hosted by Oregon Tech over the weekend. Southern Oregon pulled away late to defeat the Lady Warriors, 68-65. Senior Maria Viola led the Warriors with 25 points. The Lady Warriors fell to Oregon Tech, 63-49. Senior Cassie Davidson led the Warriors with a game-high 17 points. William Jessup travels to NCAA Division I member Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, Nov. 29.
