Richard Pearl commends Lincoln Fire and Police

-A +A
Last week?s News-Messenger carried a story (July 12, page A10) about a Lincoln citizen crashing into a Sun City Lincoln Hills home, the result of a medical condition. My home received the vast bulk of the damage and, as I was sitting at my desk (adjacent to the wall) in our home office - the direct point of impact - I was one very lucky individual. Incredibly, the driver of the car, who passed away in the hospital, was an acquaintance of ours. Our hearts go out to his wife and family. I would like to publically commend the Lincoln fire and police personnel who responded. They arrived quickly and did everything they could to assist the accident victim. They treated my elevated blood pressure and made sure that my wife and I were OK. After the driver was taken to the hospital, they came inside and checked for any potential electrical or gas leakage problems. They are true professionals in every way and we can all be proud of them. Thank you, again, Lincoln Fire and Police. Richard Pearl, Lincoln
