Bio facts Name: Terri Reeves Occupation: Membership and event coordinator for the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce Age: 55 Family: Three daughters, three grandsons, one granddaughter and a grandchild on the way City: Rocklin What do you do at the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce? I take care of everything that needs to be done in the office as far as processing members and coordinating events, and I go to ribbon cuttings and mixers. I also update the Web site. Some of the events I coordinate are the Shopper’s Expo, all of the chamber breakfasts each month, the Thursday night Farmers’ Market, July 4th and holiday parades, and Lincoln Showcase. What do you like about your job? I love my job, I love the people and my boss (Bob Romness) is a great boss, and I have a lot of respect for him. I enjoy being involved in events and in the community, and to see that people have a lot of fun at events. What is your favorite event? My favorite two are the farmers’ market and the Lincoln Showcase. The Showcase is a lot of work but it’s a great event and I think one of Lincoln’s biggest events. I love the market and I love being out there even though it’s hot. It’s just a fun time because everybody comes out, from little kids to people who buy fresh vegetables each week. What do you like to do when you’re not working? I like to spend time with my family and grandkids. I just have the best daughters, we’re very close and I love to spend time with them. I also love to go to community events on the weekends with my girlfriends and I love scrap booking. What do you like about Lincoln? It’s like our own extension of family. It’s close to everything, close to Reno, Tahoe and the Bay Area but it’s away from all of that so it’s like a rural town. I like the downtown and the people and shops. There’s just a diversity of businesses and people but it seems like everyone works toward a common goal and that’s to make Lincoln a better place.
