Localized flooding continued Monday on some of Lincoln’s streets and sandbags were available for residents as the rain continued to fall, said Jill Thompson, city of Lincoln spokeswoman. “It’s self-serve,” Thompson said. “There’s bags, sand and shovels.” Sandbags are available at two locations – 2100 Flightline Drive and the fire station on the corner of First Street and Joiner Parkway, Thompson said. Public Works is not staffing the locations but residents who need special assistance can call 434-2450. Moore Road between Delancy and Portello Way also experienced flooding last week, with one lane closed to traffic, due to the rain.
