The Lincoln Little League Majors continued its relentless effort to dodge the rain and complete ballgames as the Giants remained the only team undefeated. The Bay Area Bombers stepped out from under their umbrellas to outslug the Bronx Bombers 12-2 and move to the top of the standings. It was the third loss for the Yankees, who have managed to play four games so far this season. The Padres, in hot pursuit at 2-0, were handed their first loss, Monday, at the hands ? and bats ? of the Phillies. The boys from Brotherly Love topped the Friars 14-7. It was the second-straight win for the Phils. The Padres are in action again tonight against the Red Sox; both sit at 2-1. Saturday, the Sox take on the Yanks (1 p.m.), the Phils and Padres have a rematch at 3:30, and the Pirates try to stall the Giants juggernaut at 6. For more baseball visit lincolnllbaseball.org.
