Principal Jay Berns wishes Lincoln grads well

-A +A

Dear Graduating Fighting Zebras,

As I sit down to write this letter, I cannot express how proud I am and how excited I am for you and the future that lies ahead!

Please know that yes, this is the end of your high school career but this is a new beginning in your life.

I need you to accept and understand a few key things in life.

Number one, learning never stops. You will be learning all of your life. You will be learning in school, at work, as a husband, a father, a wife, a mother, etc.

Number two, everyone experiences adversity at one time or another in their life. I promise you that you can overcome and persevere when it comes to adversity. Never give up!

Last, you are a Fighting Zebra, you have been raised and bred not to survive the world but to change the world!

If all you do in life is become the best person or human being you can (father, mother, husband, wife, etc.) contributing to making our society better, then please know that you have made Lincoln High School proud!

In conclusion, I want you to remember that each of you has “GREATNESS within” and once a ZEBRA, ALWAYS

A ZEBRA!
