Planning for Your Pet Workshop
There comes a time in our lives when we must think of the family who will survive us, and for many of us, that includes pets. The Placer SPCA is offering a free workshop titled “Planning for Your Pet through Estate Planning” on Tuesday, May 14 at Sun City, Roseville. Attendees will learn whether a separate pet trust document is necessary, who to name as trustee, and how much to set aside.
“Those of us who cherish our pets as members of the family will do what it takes to make sure they are loved and cared for their entire lives,” said Placer SPCA CEO Leilani Fratis.
The workshop is sponsored by Dean and Watters, Estate Planning Attorneys, and presented by attorney Colleen Watters.
“Providing for your pets doesn’t have to be complicated,” said Watters. “But you do have to be sure to state your wishes specifically.”
Advance sign-up is required for this free event that includes a light lunch. Those interested are asked to contact the Placer SPCA at (916) 782-7722, extension 102 or (530) 885-7387, extension 102 or firstname.lastname@example.org. This workshop is for educational purposes only. No one will be solicited to purchase services.
