Pirates gain half game with win over Cardinals

The Lincoln Little League Majors Pirates unloaded with 10 hits against the Cardinals to take a 12-4 decision Tuesday night.

The Bucs’ Matt Brown was 2-2 at the plate, including a triple. Nine Pirates’ batters recorded hits in the game.

The Cardinals’ Chase Christopherson had a double in the contest.

Brennan MacDonald and Tommy Turner shared duties on the mound for the Pirates going three innings apiece. They held the Red Birds to just three hits while striking out a total of eight.

Wyatt Arbaugh and Gage Eastlick shared duties on the hill for the Cards. They combined for seven Ks but six fielding errors cost the St. Louis nine.

The Cardinals stranded seven runners.
