After suffering their first loss since early December two nights prior, the Lincoln varsity boys basketball team defeated visiting Colfax 57-46 at Friday's Homecoming.

With a record of 4-1, the Zebras are atop the leader board in the Pioneer Valley League. Lincoln is tied with Placer, the only league club to beat them.

The Zebras, ranked No. 14 by the Sacramento Bee, seemed to outgun No. 11 Colfax, outscoring the PVL contender in each period.

With four of their next five games away from the comfort of home, the PVL crown will come only if the Zebras can prove themselves on the road.

On Jan. 30, the Zebras will travel to Bear River, a team they defeated to kick-start their PVL season, 51-44.
