NASCAR Pro Series West rolls back into Roseville
The last two stock-car events of Roseville’s motor sports season are scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights at All American Speedway.
Late Model and Modified races will be held Friday, along with SRL Spears Southwest Tour Series and Legends of the Pacific practice sessions.
The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 is Saturday. Also scheduled is the SRL Thunder Valley Casino Resort 135. Gates open at 4 p.m. each day.
Three-time Pro Series West champion Eric Holmes of Escalon, driving for Bill McAnally Racing of Antelope, won the October 2010 race at All American. He was leading the April race when he spun out late. Jason Fensler of Wilton went on to win.
Holmes is a three-time winner in Roseville and is coming off a victory in Spokane, Wash., his first this season and the 15th of his career. Holmes is third in points behind Greg Pursley, who can clinch the title Saturday, and BMR teammate Moses Smith.
There are 30 drivers on the entry list, including eight teenagers and Fairfield native and past All American champ Jim Inglebright.
“Cowboy” Kenny Bartram and his Steel Rodeo, an X Games freestyle moto-X show, will perform both nights. Bartram is a winner of seven International Freestyle Motocross Association world championships, a Dew Tour title, 10 medals from the X and Gravity Games and more. Bartram will be joined by two-wheel tricksters Cody Elkins of Weatherford, Okla., Gabriel Villegas of Santiago, Chile, and Matt Buyten.
