Lincoln police found James (Jim) Madden, 59, of Lincoln safe Wednesday afternoon. Madden was reported missing from his residence Sunday, Sept. 2. He has a medical condition and did not have his medication with him. Lincoln Police Sgt. Terry Kennedy said neighbors reported to police they saw Madden walking Wednesday along the side of Highway 65 near McDonald's. Madden, who went home with his wife, told police he was just wandering around aimlessly trying to get his thoughts together, Kennedy said. The sergeant said Madden was in good health when he was found. Assistance was given by 30 volunteers from Placer County Sheriff's Search And Rescue team members during the search, according to Robert Miller of Lincoln.
