A man died after a medical condition caused him to crash his car Monday night into a Lincoln Hills home. The man was ?believed to be? a Lincoln Hills resident in his 80s, according to Lincoln?s Interim Fire Chief Mike Davis. The victim?s name is not being released, according to David, since ?he is believed to have passed due to a medical condition.? The Lincoln Fire Department was dispatched Monday to a motor vehicle accident (car into a house) in the 2200 block of Longspur Loop, Davis said. When police and fire crews arrived at the scene, it was discovered that the ?vehicle had left the roadway and collided with not one but two homes,? Davis said. Davis said Tuesday morning that it was believed to be a medical condition that caused the man to lose control of his vehicle. ?The vehicle struck the corner of one home and broadsided another house where the occupant was working at a desk just inside the exact spot that the car impacted,? Davis said. ?We were very fortunate that no one other than the driver was seriously injured in this incident.? The driver was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center and died that night at the hospital, Davis said. An estimate of the house damage was not available as of press time. ?On the first house, the vehicle clipped the corner and took some of the brick off and damaged the stucco,? Davis said. ?For the house it came to rest in, it pushed the wall in two to three feet, busted the stucco and broke a window.? -Stephanie Dumm
