Now that the Highway 65 Bypass has made the center of Lincoln and the newly christened Lincoln Boulevard more pedestrian-friendly, I call on the Lincoln City Council to take a logical further step in that direction of pedestrian friendliness by causing the installation of a sidewalk between Ferrari Ranch Road and Gateway Drive along Lincoln Boulevard and cleaning up that area.
There is no sidewalk at present and the side of the road is strewn with trash left by irresponsible persons. This situation should not be allowed to continue.
There is no good reason why persons desiring to walk between the Lincoln Town Center Shopping Center and Gateway Drive (either into or from Lincoln center or the Post Office and medical offices along the way) should be exposed to the danger of walking in an area without a sidewalk or curb and exposed to unsightly trash.
