Majors is boiling down to a three team race

The Lincoln Little League Majors? completed another week of play with the Red Sox and Giants holding tight to the top two spots. The Phillies have moved into contention being only two games behind the leader. The Boys from Brotherly Love handed the Yankees their second setback of the week with a 7-4 decision over the Pinstripers. The Yanks also took on the chin from the BoSox as the Bronx Bombers fell in back of the Bean Towners by five games. The Sox followed up by downing the Rangers 10-5 while the Padres unloaded on the Pirates. The Bucs have struggled this season losing a heartbreaker to the Texas nine 8-7 last Thursday. The Friars made another run at the Giants but the Boys from the Bay prevailed 8-5. Schedule The big game was Tuesday with the Phillies visiting the Giants at McBean Park. The outcome could change things a bit. The Padres were back in action visiting the Yankees on Monday and the Pirates try to shake up the Sox on Wednesday. Tonight, the Rangers and Yanks square off. Saturday The Giants are on tap at 1 p.m. to take on the Rangers. At 3:30 the Yankees and Pirates tangle and the Red Sox and Padres go at it in the nightcap starting at 6.
