ATLANTA, Ga. _ Lincoln’s Danny Allen took his Pacific Young Lions championship run to the Atlanta Motor Speedway and placed 14th in the Legends Nationals earlier this month.

The 13-year old took second in the Legends of the Pacific with 11 top-10 finishes to complete his season. He raced for three days on the Speedway’s quarter-mile track driving No. 24 for Chase Pistone.

Allen qualified 10th fastest of 32 cars in the Young Lions competition and had a provisional qualification for nationals he earned in Stockton.

Allen placed fourth in his first heat held on Saturday. In his second outing, he went from a start in sixth to another fourth place finish. That put him in the 13th spot for the 40-lap feature.

A restart dropped him back to 15th but he held an inside position. After slipping back to 19th, he utilized his inside position to work his way up to 14th where he finished.

Allen’s 2012 statistics include three wins at Speed Factory. He had 13 top 10s, seven top fives and a win in June at All American Speedway.

He looks forward to racing for Pistone in 2013. Those interested in sponsoring the Young Lions driver can visit DannyAllenRacing.com.
