Although the Lincoln High tennis team lost its final match of the season, 4-5, the Fighting Zebras total match wins earned them a berth in the Sac-Joaquin Section Playoffs. Lincoln head coach Tim Allen said his club ended up tied with Colfax and Bear River with matching 6-4 records. However, the tiebreaker was determined by number of matches won and the Zebras had the most giving them second place in the Pioneer Valley League. Allen said it has been over 10 years since Lincoln’s tennis team has been in the playoffs.
