The Lincoln Hills Coyote 65s and 70s, senior softball teams, had success in tournament play over the weekend. The 70s went 6-0 in Citrus Heights at Rusch Park, outscoring their opponents 118-61 for their first tournament title of the season. The 70s hit .709 as a team as John Parks, Jim Haworth, Larry Manley, Bob Hunter and Jim Berry led the Lincoln offense. Bill Bigone (two), John Wible, Hunter and Ed Sorensen each homered for Lincoln. The 65s played in Yuba City and won the championship with a record of 4-1. Lincoln’s Bill Stroh had a key hit in the title game. Lincoln’s winter-league Coyote team swept Folsom in a doubleheader on March 25.
