Third in the PVL standings, head coach Doug Croall knew it would be tough to move up. “To be honest, both the teams ahead of us are pretty tough. They’re running times, I’d be surprised if we can get there,” Croall said. He wasn’t optimistic the Zebras would qualify a runner for state, especially without the talents of runner Abi Lund. “She’s already been doing softball, and she thinks she’s got an opportunity for a scholarship for softball, so she really wants to work on her grades,” Croall said. “She was really unhappy about leaving. She really liked cross-country, but she felt she needed to do it.” Volleyball Oct. 12 – The Lincoln varsity girls volleyball team ended the week with a tough 3-0 defeat at Placer.
